On Lazy Days (A Poem)

The poem throws in some weight behind lazy bones. Though not lazy in the head, your body might use some laziness. On Lazy Days, enjoy.

On Lazy Days (A Poem)

My inertia starts from my sleep

As I turn and toss

Drifting sweat as the fan blades look on

Scratching furiously at tiny unseen creatures

Screaming out barely coherent words…

Tea…change…tomorrow

At the last assembly of the unlazy populace

I was missing

I was not qualified to be unlazy

I was born lazy

I am Lazy

When the rooster crows

I shall arise

And gather up the firewood Agatha garnered

Make a fire and heat some water

“Fresh bread, hot tea, fresh bread hot tea…

The small one na 50

I no get 500 naira change o…”

The things we do for leisure

On lazy days

We are Chief Executing Officers of the Lazy Company.
